Submitting                             

 

Manuscripts may be submitted either as email attachments or through surface mail. Form and style of manuscripts must adhere to the American Psychological Association (APA) Publication Guide: http://www.apastyle.org. Please include the corresponding author’s mailing address on the title page of the manuscript. All manuscript submissions must be double-spaced with one-inch margins and use 12-point font (Times New Roman).

 

Before submitting, authors should be aware that Psychology Journal must share a portion of the publication costs with authors.

 

Tables and Figures:

· Large tables may not have a desirable appearance. Try to reduce the size of tables when possible. For instance, use columns instead of rows, abbreviate headings in tables, and summarize information when possible in the text. Use MS Word’s “Table Creator” to make tables.

· In figures: do not place a box around the figure. Do not use colors or shading. Use dotted and solid lines rather than colors (the journal is printed in black and white only). Do not include the figure number or title in the figure. Make sure the figure is as clear and dark as possible. Take in to account that the size of figures will be reduced to fit in the journal.

· Each table and figure should be included on a separate page following the reference section.

We encourage authors to summarize data from tables and include this content in the text. However, three small tables (no larger than 5 columns by 8 rows) are permitted without additional charge. Each additional or oversized table or figure will assessed an additional $50 fee.

 

Proofreading:

We encourage authors to have their work read by a peer before submitting. Submission is a contract to publish with the journal if the paper is accepted for publication. Accepted manuscripts are subject to editorial modification.

 

Submission Letter:

When submitting manuscripts, authors should include a cover letter (or email) stating that the manuscript is not currently in submission to another journal, the research has followed appropriate ethical guidelines, and that authors understand they must share a portion of the publication costs. If these statements are not included, we will not review your manuscript.
